- Firestone Family Members at the Bricklaying Ceremony at Firestone Farm during Construction in Greenfield Village, July 11, 1984 - In 1983, Greenfield Village acquired and disassembled the Firestone family's barn and farmhouse in eastern Ohio. The structures were to be the centerpieces of a recreated 19th-century farm. Crews readied a seven-acre site, and reconstruction began in early 1984. Over the next year and a half, special events helped promote the project and build anticipation ahead of Firestone Farm's dedication on June 29, 1985.
